freelance work

Below is a growing list of projects, experiences, and skills I utilize to best-serve my clients since February of 2017. My relationships have been through networking and word of mouth and I build upon them in my free time outside of my career. I’d love to connect and work with you!

“Gillian is the best version of all freelancers I’ve worked with in that she understands the nature of communication that is authentic and proactive. What was startling to me was how intuitive she was, and how she worked with me in a way that made me realize we were in a genuine partnership. She listened, she engaged, she was (is) authentic and didn’t serve you up a smile or over enthusiastic response that wasn’t based on a grounded place of authentic commination. In the work I do where I am the brand, she brought who she is to the process so I felt I was talking to a co-creator, a person who knew who they are and thus, able to be themselves without boundaries or guards. Her skill set and her human style of communicating make her a treasure and I do mean a treasure to be treasured. And I’m being very serious with that last sentence, even though it sounds like something Hallmark might have written inside a card about how no two snowflakes are alike.” - Michael C. Bryan, Client

From the ground up I created and built a website to bring Michael’s creative work to light. I sorted through years and years of work to help find the best way to put up endless reams of books, TV shows, essays, videos, and artwork in the most sublime of fashions. I utilized my eye for design, technical skills, and Squarespace knowledge to combine his copy and work into well laid out, inviting sections. When we ran into a roadblock, I figured out how to best tackle the issue and suggested ways to improve the process for the best results. This has been an interval project since spring of 2017 that is coming to completion. A major wrap up occurred when he was attending the Austin Film Festival in October of 2018, final touches were made after and his website is ready for the world.
